JOHN WOO John Woo completed his art and communications studies at Olympia's Evergreen State College. In 1981 he co-founded with Roger Woo, Woo Art International, a broadcast graphic design and animation studio. Maintaining pace with the development of diverse media delivery technologies, the studio evolved and grew. John has extensive experience designing and directing for the corporate, exhibition, broadcast and entertainment media. In 1998 he designed and directed the multi-media rotunda exhibit Memory and Hope for the Museum of Jewish Heritage at New York's Battery Park City. He created, with writer, Jessica Hagedorn, the animated series The Pink Palace for the Oxygen Media Network. He was a producer of Shu Lea Cheang's Fresh Kill, which was produced and distributed internationally in 1995. Recently he produced GARLIC=RICH-AIR, a wireless network/performance environment and documentary film for Cheang. Along with Roger Woo he Executive Produced the independent digital feature film Slow Jam King for writer/director Steve Mallorca. |
